Early Sunday Morning Prayer at Emmanuel The Emmanuel staff invites you to join them in praying for our Church and especially the Sunday events. The staff has committed to pray each Sunday morning 7:45-8:15AM. We begin together in the Worship Center and most of the time of prayer can be structured individually. JOIN US !
Fusion Kick-Off Wednesday, September 1 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Eisenhower Band Shell. Come enjoy music, food, prizes, and the kickin' events that Abilene Churches have in store for the children & youth of Dickinson County.
Name Tag Sunday, on Sunday, September 5. There will be tags available at both entrances. Be sure to pick up your tag. This will help us get to know more of our Emmanuel congreagation. Let's all grab a name badge and get better acquainted!
Moving On UP All grades (Sunday morning Discipleship Classes) are moving up to their next grade of Discipleship class on Sunday, September 5.
Church Office Closed The office will close Monday, September 6 for the Labor Day Holiday.
Bible Reading for the School Year (New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs). 3rd - 5th graders, families, and others in the church are being challenged to read through the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs. Pick up the packet (located on the EPIk KidZ table) to complete the Bible assignments and questions and then get them checked with Brie. Take on the Challenge starting September 6!
Terrific Tuesday Hop on over to the church 2nd - 5th graders right after school till 5:00 PM every Tuesday in September, October, and November where we will delight in a yummy snack, help each other with homework and enjoy some fun and festive times together. Starting Tuesday, September 6!
KidStuf starts on Wednesday, September 8 at 7:00 PM in the Worship Center, for all children through 5th grade. Hop on the Rocket and come discover in God's Galaxy what KidStuf has in store for you and your family this year as we become strengthened through everyday virtues.
Middle & High School MOMENTUM will start on Wednesday, September 8. We will open the doors at 6:00 PM and service will start at 7:00 PM.
Middle & High School Small Group Starting Sunday, September 12 at 6:30 PM we will begin youth small groups. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee and pastries while hearing a great message, then we will break-off into our small groups for discussions.
United Methodist Women We will have the Shepherdess visit on Wednesday, September 15 at our 2:00 PM meeting in room 111. Please join us!
Deadline: Newsletter Articles Monday, September 20. If you are wanting to put an article into the October Acts & Facts Newsletter, please have the article to the church no later that the 20th of September. You may either put it in Rita's box behind the Welcome Center, or email it to Rita at rmacy@eumcabilene.org Please indicate that it is for the Acts & Facts.

Summer Reading Program Ice Cream Social on Sunday, September 26 at 5:00 PM. For those who participated in the Summer Reading program, come join us for fellowship, food and recognition.
Bows of Holly It's Christmas and Holly has launched a toy and food drive for the needy. Come be a part of an exciting Christmas Musical this year as EPIk KidZ put on the production of "Bows of Holly" which will be performed on Sunday, December 5. Auditions are Sunday, September 26 starting at 3:30 PM. Sign-up for an audition time and pick up a script on the KidZ Bulletin Board.
Adult Bible Study The Wednesday Adult Bible Study group will resume meeting on Wednesday, October 13 at 6:30 PM in Conference Room 1. We will be examining a variety of interesting Biblical topics. All are welcome!
