Linda Kuntz drew a mural of Noah’s ark in the nursery.  The high school youth room was upstairs just below the tower and Larry Rothfuss put the finishing touches on the wall murals there.  Originally, there were 3 balloons but the ones for Solomon and Chapman were removed during remodeling.  You can see the influence of Ross Razak in the plane wall.  There were some wild times up there.

The Sunday school grew so much this old house had to be purchased to add classroom space.

The merger begun in 1946 was finalized.  We became the Emmanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Mrs. Susie Thompson, who served for 23 years as the Church Organist, died.

Our 75th anniversary year was highlighted by the commissioning of the first missionary sent out by Emmanuel.  Macel Nearderhiser went to Red Bud Mission in Kentucky as a teacher.
